I know that if theTDS reads more than 100 ppm, the eggs hatch at a better rate--- but the water hardness must be very soft.

SO, my tap water is a very low level but I don't use the RO unit. I fill up water in the aging tank by straight tap water. The aging tank is running by airstone for 24 hours. The aging water is for the water change for my breeding tanks.

My aging water parameter TDS is 26 ppm , 44 microSiemens Ph 6.8.

Right now my breeding tanks TDS reads 54 to 62 ppm and 110 and 130 microSiemens.

How could I bring TDS up to level ?

Thanks
Duncan

There is a great product called RO Right (Dr Foster & Smith website). Just add a little at a time until you get the desired TDS. Breeding pairs usually between 75/100. You can always just add tap water just becareful to not to make to must of an adjustment as you might shock the fish. Recommended to slowly adjust the parameters.

If you really want to raise the TDS add R/O Right or Replenish by Seachem. I wish I had your problem. I can ship you some of my water to add to yours, it will bring your TDS up in a hurry.

lol

The parameter water is very lowest. The eggs won't hatch. I fixed it by a false RO and it works for me but not always. I must to keep my eye on the right water level for discus breeding. TSD 100 or more also API GH & KH between 2 or 3.
