View Full Version : Big white patch on discus

Hello

I woke up this morning and i found a big white strain at one side of my discus, around 3 cm length and about 5 mm width, within one hour it grown further. then the fish start to float and immediately died! i cannot understand what happened ? can someone explain it please !

My tank: 330 Liters
8 Discus (between 12-14 cm)
9 Cardinals tetra
5 blue rams
2 albino plecos (5cm each)
Medium planted tank

PH 7.1
temp 28
nitrite 0
Nitrate 3

the fish i lost today i got it 3 weeks ago,an adult about 18cm, i quarantine at my LFS for 10 days, before i move it to my tank, the fish was ok, and eat normal except last 3 days.

opp ! i thought i deleted that mess, so you still caught that. what i mean was higher the tem, might be in a big tank, the tem usually lower than what it show. once, my fish was like that i move him into another tank and he get better and healthy now.

Do not raise or lower the temp until you know what you are dealing with, Higher temps can cause bacteria to spread more quickly, which is bad. However, higher temp can help with ich.
