I'm pretty new to Discus keeping, My Girlfriend got them for me a few months ago from a retailer on this site. a few hours ago i noticed two acting sort of strange, within an hours time i watched one lay eggs on my filter down-tube and the other follow the female over the eggs (male fertilizing i hope). Now im just not sure what i need to do next. they are in a 75 Their are currently 7 discus total along with them:
parents are Altum Flora (male) x Carnation PigeonBlood (female)
5 juvenile bushy-nose plecos
4 Harlequin Rasbora's
8-10 cardinal tetras
3 Julie Cory cats

what steps do I need to take? the eggs were laid high enough up the tube that I only have about three inches of water I can drain during water changes. They are fed frozen blood worms & Brine 3 times a day, with water changes once a week.

you need to read thru the threads in the breeding section.. and then read more...

too many step to list..

all you can really do is just watch..

but never fear.. they will lay more.. THEN YOU will be ready for a later batch

congrats
