Hi guys i've bought some calcium chloride to make my own remin for my ro, but its came in gravel like form.
My question is it to crush it up in to sand grain size to mix to make remin?
Cheers guys

It will dissolve faster in smaller pieces. Also CaCl2 is exothermic when dissolving so predissolve it where the fish can't get to it

I put a tablespoon calcium as is, without crushing, per 25 gallons in a cup of warm water before adding. It only takes a couple of minutes for the 'fizziness' to disappear. I started doing that because I noticed bubbles on the discus and it looked like slime coat was coming off when I added it directly to the tank.
