up your water changes up to at least 50%.. and if it is breathing out of one gill.. try 2 tablespoons of salt/per 10 galons.. gill should open up in few hours..

i have yet to see a picture of a fish from some on in SD.. that actually had GILL FLUKES.. so i would say. it probably is not.. so rule out water quality first...

the gravel don't help.. and having aquaclear filter with NO PRE FILTER allows all kinds of gunk to get in the filter.. and cause water quality problems.

i found the little one is not good on a AC 50.. its too much suction.. i put a sponge with larger pores. .

That's the ones I use. Without scoping it it's hard to tell what's going on but it seems like a combination of water quality and the temp is way to high IMO turn that temp down to at least 84 and don't leave uneaten food in your tank. I would wait on the salt until you fix the water quality and temp issue.........Josie

turned it up while using the salt, will turn it down. would this be a good investment as well?

Yeah didn't we just fix something else? I know I replied to something from you, I agree, continue to focus on water quality and if we don't see improvement in a week or a little longer let us know. I also agree with waiting on the salt for now. Lowering that temp should help as well, at least it will help avoid secondary bacterial infection. Trust the water, it works wonders when there's lots of it changed and added often.

i had that same issue, should be able to find the connectors you need to make it work, and that will improve your quality of life greatly. I have mine adapted to a shower for the fish room, it works beautifully.
