Overflow and background

I'm getting real close to ordering my new tank and I'm trying to decide what to do about having an internal overflow and a rock background. The two don't seem to play well together so I'm looking for suggestions.

What do others do when they have a background and an overflow? External overflow, corner overflow etc?

i have an overflow but no sump, wiping down the back where the bioballs are kept is a real pain...

Yiu can have overflow box in the corner where you access it easy. but mine don't have overflow and blue background. I think it takes space of the and afraid Discus will head on the edge.

I built my rock background with bump outs for 3 diy 1" pvc overflows. The box type overflow wasted too much space so this works well for me and doesn't harm the look of the background.
