I have a 60 gallon tank with 10 adult discus. It has a large outside power filter and a long air stone at one end. What would cause the fish to congregate at one end and at the top of the tank?

PH is about 7.5 and the water is fairly hard. The water temp is about 82.

Are you sure the current isn't too strong for them? is it a bb tank?

I had the same problem a while back they went to the top corner and turned black then got sick and I did lose some of them. I finally figured out the my light was to bright for them so I lowered my lighting and reduced the hour they were on and they are much better now give it a try

They also do it when the lights are off.

Also, this is fairly recent activity.

That's a lot of adult discus in a 60. I hope you change a ton of water every day. It coud be ammonia.

Always check ammonia then oxygen when they're hanging @ the top.
