View Full Version : Another question on Feces

I have searched and searched and have come up with nothing. I was watching my tank tonight and noticed one of my adults and one of my sub-adults (same tank) had 3 "strings" of feces coming from the vent each. The feces was red in color but I do feed Colorbits, and bloodworms occasionally (they got 3 cubes today about 11am). I noticed this about 2 hours ago and tried to get a picture of it but was about to snap the photo and another adult head-butted him out of his area and made it break free. This one seemed to be one longer peice about 2 cm and the other 2 were only out a few mm's. Being they are dark in color I am hoping it is nothing serious, and also the 2 I noticed it on are some of the best eaters in the tank, and dont look thin or show any other symptoms.

Just seeing if anyone else had noticed anything similar to this and if it is anything to be of concern.

Thanks in advance, Ben

Hi Ben,

I'd definitely move this thread to the Disease/Sickness section and ask for help. I've seen white poops once in awhile, but they are always one solid poop, just like the black ones. NEVER more than one string at a time. Be sure to fill out the questionnaire too.
