Mine took 3-4 days wrigglers to free swim. 7-8 days total from laying eggs to free swim.

5 days from being laid to going free swimming, almost like clock work.

I agree with CozyKeith. Maybe 6 days in cold water seems reasonable, but my experience has always been 5 days at 82 degrees. HTH

I have had two different pairs lay eggs that got to the freeswimmer stage; it took about 5 days.

Pretty much the concensus with the egg-laying until free-swimming, 5-6 days depending on temps. What's more important is egg laying until wigglers for most first-timers, since they don't know if the pair is proven until the eggs become wigglers.
