Upcoming Eclipse in Hopkinsville KY and Star Party info

Here is a recent story I read on the internet regarding the upcoming solar eclipse and the little town where Dawn and I live. We are also very interested in astronomy and are members of the local astronomy club.

We have a dark sky site not far away and the club will have a star party there in the next few weeks. If you are interested in attending the star party, please PM me and I'll send along the information.

I just read this also but it isn't until the year 2017 but atleast tonight we can watch a blue moon if Isaac what get out of here.

The star party is in a few weeks. Some of the guys have huge telescopes (16 to 24 inch mirrors). We have a more modest 10 inch Dobsonian and Dawn enjoys looking at nebulas and clusters with it. I am happy to look at Saturn and Jupitar. These astronomy people are a great bunch to hang with.
