Hello friends,

I recently upgraded my RO from 150 gpd to 300 gpd. It came with a new booster pump (CDP-8800 Series 1/4 fittings). Before the install of the booster pump, my water psi was about 55. With the booster pump, it is only sitting at 70/75 psi. However; after reading the online description it says:

Aquatec ® CDP-8800 Booster Pump For RO Systems Over 50 GPD - CDP-8800 Series High Flow). The CDP-8800 Series pumps are also compatible with most hydraulic shut-off valves with the optional PSW shut off tank controller switch. Distinguishing Features & Operating Benefits: Outstanding toughness, durability. Designed for 30,000+ operating hours. Adjustable pressure boost between 40-120 PSI. Outlet pressures up to 160 PSI. EMI/RFI electronic noise suppression. Extremely quiet operation, less than 45 DBA. Expels trapped air, eliminates air locks. Runs dry without damage. Pumphead can be mounted up or down. Self-priming, 60 inch lift. Improved venting system removes moisture. Low voltage (12-24V) for maximum safety. Corrosion resistant exterior. Technical Specifications: POWER: The CDP-8800 Series pumps operate safely with low energy (24 watts), low voltage (12-24V) motors. They can be used with compatible transformers offered in the most popular worldwide voltages (120 VAC, 230 VAC).

So after trying to contact the company, I have not heard back from them as to how to adjust for a stronger psi. I am only getting 200 gpd. Is anyone using this pump? I was looking at the pump and not sure if it is adjustable or does that just mean it is "adjustable" to your current water pressure and temperature?

Something else I read was if you are running off city water, your initial psi would be higher therefore with the pump, you would get a stronger psi, say 100 or max 125. But since I am off a community well, my psi is lower and the pump can only push off what is there already.

Thanks for the input.
