ventral fins

Hey everyone...

How long does it normally take for a discus ventral fins to grow back completely. One of my discus lost about 1 inch off one of his ventral fins.. it's been months and I think it only grown back like a quarter inch.

Very slowly and may never catch up to the other one. If you're going for the aesthetics it wouldnt hurt the fish any to trim both ventral fins to same length and let them grow back out. Would look more balanced....it's all personal taste.
