Strain with the best halo?

I love a fish with a pronounced halo. I know most wilds have them, piwow turks do too. What other strains show a real nice halo? Pics of your fish would be great.

Canadian Aqua Farms has some Virgin Reds with a great halo. Post#12 in the September shipment shows the adults really well.

Wow - I've seen a bunch of pics of your fish, but never noticed that halo before. That's a great looking fish! I've seen piwow cobalts with halos but haven't noticed one on a stendker before now.

I'm partial to my Virgin Red. She changes color tones more than any fish I've ever owned! In the first picture she's hanging out with some tank mates and has some nice color. The second picture she is with her fry and she tends to go dark when with them. Don't know why. :confused: She can change color tone in the time it takes her to swim from one end of the tank to the other, or less.

herbicidal, you said it perfectly! that's why i love reds. had a little bit of all the colors out there but now just want a tank of reds (with a few piwow's for "accent" fish :)). hope my reds end up close to yours.

Looking at pics of Red covers & Virgin Reds is what drew me to fish with halos. That dark halo against a solid body really shows great contrast.

The Red Cover x Virgin Red F1s I have both carry a recessive golden gene and produce 25% red goldens. Sure hope they get their act together soon and produce a second batch of fry.
