I'm thinking of moving over from wild angels to wild discus and I'm after some advice on stocking levels.
My tank is 200cm x 65cm x 65cm.
Once you allow for decor displacement, tank not being filled to the brim, etc. I would estimate it holds 700-750 litres.
It has a 3d background that takes out very little water volume, but probably takes out upto 20-25% of the swim space.
Its filtered by 2 FX5s and I do just over 30% water changes on a weekly basis, with HMA water.
The ph is 6.5 and very soft with a hardness of 2 to 3.
Would you consider the tank to be over stocked with 10 full adult wilds? I know the larger the group the less issues there will be with aggression, but obviously tank sizes limit numbers. I was originally thinking of just adding 8 due to the tank size but have been advised that 10 should still be a comfortable number.
