Today I had to lay to rest my snake skin blue discus. His long lived life was well respected by his other discus friends. He will be missed. May he rest in peace.

Sorry to hear about your loss.

One of my friend had to euthanize his 9 year old female and her partner for the past 7 years is not taking it well. He himself is around 9.

Its hard to lose a fish that you have worked so hard into giving him the best living enviroment possible. I consider all my pets family members and not just pets. Poco im also sorry to hear about your friends fish as well. Having a fish that long is very hard to handle, 9 years of taking care of the same guys is alot of work.

Thanks to all for your kind concerns. I love this Forum everyone is great and friendly.

Oh gosh, sorry to hear that. I had to do that to an Angel I had for about 3 years, he got that large fungus thing on his lips. I can't remember what it was called but it eventually keeps them from being able to eat. I just felt like he was struggling. That was hard enough, but, I didn't want him to suffer.

The fact that he was 9 years old, tells me that he was well cared for, and happy!!!!!
