Stress bars

Just curious, do the stress bars show when the fish is actually stressed? I am sure it depends on the type, but just curious about why they show them.

mood bars-when they ----are stressed, showing dominance, being picked on, sick, showing off, when food is put in the tank etc...

Great.there is one at the lfs i have been wanting always changing from minute to minute.i think he is the dominate one of the 7 he had bars then i look at another one and back to him and he does not.very cool character this one has.
