Thanks everyone.The goal is to get a mate for the female,or a new pair.Found the male dead one morning,no prior symtoms.Shes been in the cacth-all 125 looking for a hook-up.No luck,though she's almost the smallest fish,and she rules the tank.

Thanks guys.Even though I've almost doubled the size of thier tank,it's amazing how much cr@p is on the bottom the next day after a wc.At this time I had 8 turks in there.There's 15 of these guys,and I want to get them a little bigger before I start chosing the keepers.

Looked at the calander,and they are around 8 months now.Thier "mom" is in the tank with them,and even at thier age,some are getting bigger then her.Queen and her court.77741In person they are a brownish red,dosent really show in the pics.This ones starting to really color up.77742This one must have gotten caught by the python,and I didnt notice it whan I pulled him.7774377744

4.75 to I'd say close to 5 1/2".I dont like to take them out just to measure,but I did when transfering them to another tank.

What was the goal of this pairing? Was it accidental? I think it can be assumed that the red characteristic is dominant. Funny how all the fry have the red characteristic. Now the interests question is what will the 14 bar look like at maturity? And at F2?

Bill those Juvies Look Great. Worse case scenario a backcross of one of the Juvies to her would be a good Pairing..I think you might get some exceptional fish with that.

Have you tried breeding her to an alenquer? or RGD?
