LED Bubble Wand

Anyone try the underwater bubble wands for their tanks? Was thinking of using these as a night light for my son's new discus tank? Thoughts?

I have one, it is beautifull, however it "clogs" up rapidly. it simply just stops letting air out of the bubbler, the LED's have been maintenance free. The bubbler is a bit of a pain to clean, it does come out of the housing easily but... a couple days after a thorough cleaning it again barely bubbles... it doesnt seem to matter the power of the air pump either, as I have put serious power to it, only to see 1 or two spots bubble.
The LED's sure do make y discus look awefull pretty though...
