2 questions. If eggs turn dark and no fungus does that mean the are fertile?
I read Carol Roberts time line but I'm a little confused. Do eggs hatch in 55hrs or so, or do they hatch at around 79 hours?

It depends, it could take longer than 55 for some. That number was used for that particular timeline.
