Spawning and raising Discus was a mystery for years, in my teens there was very little shared about keeping discus and spoke to Jack Wattley often for advice. About 10 years ago I was able to acquire 2 dozen samples of the original Wattley strain from Vern Archer in Canada. My setup was small with a total 450 gallons of discus capacity but the young discus grew fast and had my first breeding pair. Soon after the pair spawned a fish room disaster ended my pursuit of generating samples of the original Wattley strain. I've loved raising discus and raised many over the years. Unfortunately, I have been in the process of moving and don't have time anymore.
