First Successful Spawn – Looking for Tips on Raising Fry

After a long period of trying, my pair has finally spawned successfully (fingers crossed)! Out of about 40–50 wigglers, around 80% have attached to the parents as of today. The rest are still hovering near the cone, and I can see the parents actively trying to guide them to attach as well.

I didn’t need to take out the sponge filter or lower the water level — the parents have been excellent at swimming around and helping almost all the fry attach. It's been amazing to watch.

While I’ve kept both community and discus-only tanks for a long time (including raising young discus from about 1"+), this is my first time having a successful spawn and trying to raise fry. I’d love any feedback or tips from those more experienced.

Here’s what I’m currently doing and planning:
    1. Water changes: I haven’t done any water changes since the eggs appeared. Planning to restart 50% daily WCs in another 2–3 days.
    2. Feeding the parents: Currently feeding ½ cube of dried blackworms. Planning to increase to regular feeding of a full cube in the morning and feed beef heart mix at night.
    3. Feeding fry: Plan to introduce baby brine shrimp (BBS) in about a week. Hoping it would help both the fry and parents.
    4. Moving fry: Planning to move the fry to their own 55g tank in about 2–3 weeks from now (assuming ~60% survival or smaller tank if lower survival). Plan to feed 4–5 times a day initially BBS, crushed flakes and some BH mix and do 100% daily water changes once they’re moved.
    5. Water parameters: The breeding tank is running on ~90% RO mix. Once fry are moved, I’ll gradually reduce the RO ratio to transition them to my tap water, which has high TDS (~450).

Does this all sound okay? Please let me know if there’s anything I should not be doing, or something important I’m missing. All tips, suggestions, and advice are more than welcome!

    Thanks in advance!

    1. Change water, change water, change water...
    2. BBS is good only for 1 - 2 weeks. Prepare to wean your fry to solid food immediately afterwards to avoid stunting
    3. Be prepared to move either the fry or the parents if the parents start to clean the cone again in a week
At my age, everything is irritating.
