    shivering discus

I have six 5 to 5.5-inch discus that are about 11 months old. They often exhibit a shivering behavior, which lasts for a very short time but is still noticeable. I tried a potassium permanganate (PP) bath, thinking it was due to external parasites, and I also tried metronidazole, assuming it might be hexamita. However, neither treatment worked. Their appetite is really good, so I'm quite confused about what’s going on. Am I missing something? The water parameters are:
    Ammonia: 0

    Nitrite: 0

Sounds like breeding behavior to me. Can you take a video, upload to YouTube and post here?

Hi Pavan, I did not see the shivering behavior but do see lots of indications that the fish are thinking about mating. Signs are dark fins, staring at a particular spot for a long time. Bowing with each other etc.

They are "coming of age". Shivering means they're trying to attract a mate.
