Ok. There are a couple of other LFS I can try that are a little farther away from me. I’ll take a ride today. Thanks.

I've seen Microbe Lift products in smaller local stores but I'd recommend calling them to confirm. It's available on Amazon.

Ok got the stuff you recommended. It must be very concentrated. It says use 3.5 oz (100ml) for 1000 gallons. I have a 90 gallon. Maybe just put in a few ml?

100ml/1000gal = 10ml/100gal or 9ml/90gal per the dosing instructions mate

Thanks. I was never good at Math. Also use once a day? Instructions say every 12 hours?

The reason the dosage reads so large is because this product is meant for use in ponds, so adjusting for use in an aquarium can be tricky and confusing. Danny's math is correct but I would wait for Al to chime in again. Even if the instructions don't say so, I'm pretty sure you'll have to do a water change between doses, and possibly adjust the dose according to the percentage of water change because I think formalin is only removed through water changes. In other words, if you redose the same amount, the formalin will continue to build up. I'm not sure on the m green. Also, make sure you have plenty of aeration because of the formalin. Sorry, but I'm not experienced enough with these meds to just wing it and I don't want to see any additional harm done.

Thanks for the advice. I think I’ll change 25% water between doses.

If you change 25% water between doses, and the formalin & MG don’t degrade, 2.25ml would be the additional dosing.
The problem will be if the formalin & MG degrade at different rates you could end up OD’ing 1 and not being therapeutic with the other.
You are fine to start the initial dose, but I agree w jeep to wait on Al’s input regarding the finer details of subsequent dosing…

Condition on discus has not changed. I did 50% water change last night and added 9ml of meds to tank.

Sorry guys ,was not able to be online the last few days.

Dosing is 1 ml per 10 gallons water as Danny and Brian posted. You will want to dose that full amount daily after a large( 75% or more )water change. You should be sure the tank and filters are very clean.. formalin reacts with organic matter.. You should do this treatment for at least 5 days. Keep the lights off during treatment and no chemical filtration(carbon etc) At the end of the 5 days evaluate if theres any improvement.

I’ll do this for another 4 days and see how it goes.

Just finished 6 straight days of medicating, and changing water each time. I see a difference. Discus fins aren’t clamped anymore. Eating a little. Not 100% but a noticeable difference. I guess I should back off using meds now?

I would do the full recommended dose and duration. I'm not proficient with these meds, but I'm thinking a full 10 days. You're seeing improvement and we don't want a relapse.

Ok I think I’ll continue. You’re right about not having a relapse.
