Is it normal to have a lump in the middle of a discus body?

Generally not hboute! Can you post a picture of the fish showing the lump?

Pat is correct. Is your discus swimming correctly? Can you post a photo?

Some of the Albinos and Blue Diamonds do have this lump on one side and may have a dent in the otherside, sign of inbreeding.

It's easy to see on Discus that are solid color compare to the pattern type of Discus.

he seems to be doing fine otherwise, hanging out with the other fish, it does seem to be more pronounced on one side than the other. Tried to upload pix but every time I get a timed out message...

This new software has copy/paste capabilities. Try pasting your photo instead of uploading and see if that helps.

Ok, maybe the file is too big. Try emailing the photo to yourself and then give it a try. Most emails programs automatically resize to an acceptable size. Sorry for the issues here...

the picture files are only 160 kb, not sure why it is not uploading. In the meantime I gave them some blood worms, which I usually don't feed, but he did seem interested in them. Starting to wonder if albinos really have poor eyesight...
