    Hole in the head?

    i was busy for the past two weeks so i skipped water change but when i did change the water today i noticed one of my discus was in quite a bad shape and idk what to do , others seem fine but this one is not fine, he's still eating but not active

    i started treating it for everything, i did a pp treatment and started metro aswell

      I’m not sure the erosions in the head are HITH though I see discus pimples on his side which can lead to HITH when on the forehead area.

      This looks almost like trauma, like it rammed its forehead into something & damaged the mucosa;

      What is your nitrate level typically on water change day?

      Discus pimples are a sign of poor water quality. Missing 1 exchange probably wouldn’t be the sole cause unless your nitrates were already on the high side.

      Clean water w salt @ 1tbsp/2gal and pure metro is the treatment for HITH.

      PP will irritate the crap out of the mucosa and the fish is already stressed.
