    Wild Discus Turning Dark

In my wild tank all discus but one are doing well. This guy is always fairly dark and then he gets even darker. It's been months of this, and my thoughts are that he gets picked on. I tried a full week of MetroCleanse and then WormerX with no results. He does eat and poop is normal. I think he is constantly in stress since when he was in the hospital tank he looked a little better.

All the other discus in the tank are doing very well as you have seen in my video in my other post. I did not include this one to be able to address his issues separately.

Chuck, How did you use the wormX? What kind of treatment did you use? also..you did usemetroand work. X is levamisole .. have you tried Prazi with this fish? Something is definitely stressing it.

An option to try would be hospital tank with Salt bath or salt dip. , alternatively hospital tank with fmg
        ( Formalin malachite green.)

I did separate 10-day treatments on each I can try Prazi next and see if it works, I should have some. The Formalin malachite green as a 10 second dip at 50 ppm? or in water column .05 ppm for longer treatment.
WormerX I did 48 hrs water change and repeat and I never saw any worm's just normal poop.

Chuck I use the FmG daily in the tank for 3-5 treatments ... Honestly though I think a salt dip to a clean hospital tank would be my first choice given this is a wild .

He survived the dip but as expected he lost a most of his slime coat. He is recovering very fast and generating new slime coat.

It's gotten back it's slime coat and I don't see any improvements yet. Al do you think I should do Prazi or wait and do FmG treatment. I don't want to do to harsh treatments back to back. Maybe wait a couple of days and see if the salt had any positive effects?

Chuck, I would do as you are planning Let the fish rest a bit.... This is a case where there's no rush..so don't.It can take time for the fish to heal if there were external parasites the salt killed/knocked off.

Hopefully you are correct he recovers. What would you recommend next if he is still the same Fmg daily? I see some instructions for 5 mL per 10 gallons water change 40% and redose for 3 treatments (3 days). When I redose do I use the full amount or calculate based on the water change amount?
