mixing potassium permangante and how should it be used

Hi discus guys. I was wondering if any one can tell me how to mix pp and how it should be used. I know it is different with all tanks but is there a basic color I should look for? I was thinking about useing a old prime 500ml 16.9 fl oz bottle also

I use 1/8 tsp PP per 16 OZ water. Make sure you rinse the Prime bottle really well. Otherwise Prime will neutralize PP. Why don't you buy another 16 OZ bottle? Try place like Sally Beauty Supply. HTH.

Thanks and I will buy a new bottle. It would be kinda silly to reuse a $2.00 bottle on a $200 discus.

i have a 1L bottle i mixed PP in and its dark purple color. its been more than 6 months. can i still use this solution or discard and make new one?
