I guess my brown/red discus wild cross decided to do it. I think they’re approximately 10/11 months old and about 5”. They’ve been doing the shimmy for days and I guess last night was the night. I saw the whole event too. No wonder aggression was extra high this past week. I don’t plan to breed so more food for everyone.

Very cool. I had a wild pair of greens pair up and had fry in my 230. I also had tetras in the tank with them and the fry made excellent tetra food. You might want to move them to their own tank if you want to raise some fry. Beautiful pair BTW.

Gone within 18 hours It's all good though since I have no plans to breed. Life is too busy at the moment and I can only automate so much. Their back to doing the shimmy and aggression ensues!

Spawn number 4! More food for everyone! I guess I have two males and 1 female. Female is in the middle. I had to move the almost 6” one on the right and be the hero fish with my wild tefe. He’s also the resident bully in the 180 so I’m hoping he simmers down a bit. He definitely felt the burn after being relegated to the 45 gallon tank.
