To Fat, or Not to Fat

Al and I had a robust discussion about whether to fast discus weekly - a discussion without any data. So nothing was resolved. Despite the popularity of weekly fasting for people, no data existed for that habit either. Finally, some reputable research has been published.

Like everything else, there are pluses and minuses.
At my age, everything is irritating.

You don't remember all 28,000+ posts, Al?

It was a discussion on whether we should skip feeding our fish once a week. You argued that it was a common practice for humans and I argued that there were no evidence whether it was beneficial - just a thing someone did. Looks like if you starve mice periodically, they do better, then they do worse.

Asians don't skip meals, ever, so I'm functionally unable to understand the premise of the experiment.

I prefer to think of myself as too short.
