    New Wilds - Early X-mas

Here are some new wilds, three total. Two red-based solids (sort of) or Cuipuea. The other is a royal, not sure of the location. They are nice sized fish with the royal being a little smaller. They are from Rodrigo of La Paz Aquatics who is a sponsor here. They came out of the bag pushing each other and looked great. All three has a little bit of burned tails. I tried to not let air into the bags once empty (except for the fish). Guess some got in.

Real nice Pat.. I have a feeling you may need a divider though That royal is tough one.

Beautiful Pat!! Very robust & vibrant colors for”shipping stressed” fish.
The tail burn seems very minor in your case fortunately. Are you a proponent for trimming tail burn or letting it grow out?
              Merry Christmas Pat!

Thanks Al, the royal seems to have settled some but no worries, I am keeping an eye on it!

Merry Christmas too Danny. They weren't in the box too long Danny, maybe 6 hours max. Rodrigo boxed them the morning they were shipped. Spent two hours on the plane (shipped SouthWest Cargo). Two hours to reach the cargo area and 30 minutes to the house. I measured their bag temp and out of the bag they came directly into the tank. The tail burn is fairly minor so not expecting any need to trim the tails.

Wow, that's amazing Pat. SWC is definitely the way to go with shipping in terms of quick tank to tank times. Much less stressful for us and the fish, LOL. From what I have seen in terms of quotes, SWC is not that much different in pricing either. I didn't figure you would trim these guys

Danny, it was $106 to fly the fish for two hours. I seem to remember it use to cost $80. I will always use air cargo if possible and guessing way cheaper the UPS or FedEx.
