I just returned from a fish collecting trip to the Peruvian Amazon. While in Iquitos I went to one of the fish exporters. Here they had multiple tanks with discus from I believe the Rio Nanay. They were all about 4-5 inches in size. They were selling them for $6 each. Very tempting but I don't have my discus tank set up yet since my move.
