    Air stones and sponge filters?

Currently, I have 3 large sponge filters each in my 75 and 55 gallon tanks and only use air stones in my IBC containers which are used to age tap water.
Would it be beneficial to add an air stone to my tanks or even use two sponge filters and an air stone in each tank?

If I'm reading this correctly, three sponge filters in a 75 should suffice, but there's nothing wrong with adding more. I keep 4 in each tank so I always have seeded sponges available if needed.

Do you use any air stones besides your sponge filters Brian?

You should have more than enough air with your sponges alone.

Make sure you add a air stone inside the sponge filter it generates smaller bubbles so you better aeration.

It's not necessary, but those little bubbles do help. They're pretty, too.

No, I have the stones inside the sponge filter.

Air stones inside sponge filters, beneath a wavemaker, to synergize aeration and flow, http://www.youtube.com/shorts/5aOOHPRRV9A, in all my large tanks.

At my age, everything is irritating.
