If I'm reading this correctly, three sponge filters in a 75 should suffice, but there's nothing wrong with adding more. I keep 4 in each tank so I always have seeded sponges available if needed.👍 1Leave a comment:

Air stones and sponge filters?
Currently, I have 3 large sponge filters each in my 75 and 55 gallon tanks and only use air stones in my IBC containers which are used to age tap water.
Would it be beneficial to add an air stone to my tanks or even use two sponge filters and an air stone in each tank?Tags: None
