Brian thats exactly what I plan on with my group .. Probably either Forest red turqs or my wild cross lines.

I saw the pic before I read the text. I thought that she was dead. Drama queen is right! I have a sissy pair. They hide behind the cone the moment they see me approach their tank with the siphon hose.

Very true! But the cube of FDBW's she saw in my hand had the reverse affect

BTW, my water is still unpredictable. Ph is still 8.3 but hardness has risen from 390 to 520. I'm thinking of adding a heavy metal cartridge to my whole house filter, or just going reconstituted RO. I never had these issues until the water main issue last year...

She probably knows about your water problems and is either scared to death with the russian roulette water or is just practicing .

These are much tougher fish than a lot of people give them credit for...
    Brian,
I am so sorry to hear that, there is nothing worse that deal with a sick fish. It literally makes me sick to my stomach. I know people say you keep fish, you will kill fish. Glad you did not give up.

It is even worse feeling knowing you have put a lot of blood, sweat and tear in your breeding program. I hope things turn around quickly and your efforts are rewarded.

Brian, I have to commend you for your commitment and tenacity for these fish. Like Al, I wouldn't have expected that fish to survive and with it being that dark with the eye issue I would have struggled with the decision to keep it alive. I'm happy that your hard work for these fish paid off and they've recovered.
