It looks like everything that didn't turn white is good to go! Now to see if we can get them all going strong. I think I'll remove the filter for a few days while they try to attach. It seems like the last time I lost about 80% and I didn't even know any had survived at all until about a week later because they were either attaching to the filter or just getting lost.
Brian do you have freeze dried rotifers?.. if you do.. try that.
Also... hard boil an egg. Take the yolk and add it to one cup water... blend on high until dissolved Drop the water to the pairs back if you havent yet. put a light over one corner.. The fry will usually aggregate. Use an eye dropper and scatter a few drops of the egg yolk water where the fry aggregate. Only a few drops... repeat in a few hours.. by then they probably will attach.
Good thinking! I may try that next time. Last night I saw about 30 of them darting around the tank and some were pecking at the cone, which has a little bit of algae on it. I went ahead and raised the water level and put the sponge filter back in thinking they may migrate to it, and any first bites that may be sucked in could be eaten. The parents are just hanging out, lol...
