    Thank you Pat, Chuck and Brian! I am very happy with them.
    I am actually thinking to change the hard scape. Something that will compliment their color more, and force them to stay more visible.
    I found this image online and think to go something like this;

      Getting used to my presence in front of the tank now. More relaxed & come out to see if I’m gonna feed…they do favor the left end of the tank. 14 of the 16 gathered at this 1 rock pile!

          Thanks Pat. They’re slow growers but I’m looking forward to when the males are 12-14” and the gals 8-10”. I have about 2-2.5 years to wait

              I'm not unfamiliar with Frontosa's as I've kept some. Does your particular strain keep any of the blue when fully grown? All I have kept or seen have lost all of their "youth" blue. Unlike many of the African cichlids which get better looking as they grow, I've not had that experience with Frontosa.

                Moba, and other blue Zaire variants, keep their blue. In fact it gets deeper and darker as the age. Lighting and mood definitely influences their color strongly. Darker substrates and dimmer lights actually enhance their blue/purple coloration.
                I had a group of Mikula Zaire’s that I lost in a power outage when I was in Australia in Nov 23’. Here’s a picture of a male I had, 1 yr old in Sept 21’ and 3yrs old just before I went to Australia. Click image for larger version Name:	IMG_6700.jpg Views:	0 Size:	285.6 KB ID:	2771710

                      Ok, so I recently was given an opportunity to acquire an Australian lungfish. An opportunity I cannot turn down. I will be moving the moba group to the 125gal and rededicating the 500gal to the AUL and some friends.

                      Yesterday I picked up a beautiful fire eel locally. It was advertised at 18-20” but is actually almost 25”. It beautiful. Currently in the 125g w the loaches but all will transfer over to the big tank in the weeks ahead. More to come…

                        Love that eel Danny and at this rate you may need another 500 gallon tank.

                          Thanks Pat!
                          The fire eel is really cool, and the pattern/color is amazing.
                          The lungfish is not as “pretty” but these come from the Brisbane River valley where I grew up in Australia. When the opportunity presented itself, I couldn’t resist. They’re an “at risk” species in the wild. All AUL sold must be certificated. Mine has a certificate & has been microchipped as well.

                            I can't imagine how old that fire eel is, and it's incredible that it still has such a great pattern and color for the age of the fish. You sure do love you some monster fish, and it's so awesome to see them going to a good home.

                              Obviously, the eel's mother never taught it that it was impolite to play with its food.

                                A microchip in a fish!? :O
                                Fire eel is cool, I always thought an eel would be an interesting fish to have.
