I loved when I was raising sterbai, they sure are fun. Especially in a big group! And a massive bonus is they pretty much eat fresh BBS right off the bat!

Yes , these were taking bbs from the beginning although I did supplemented with golden pearl 50 micron and some spirulina powder. but you know they are eating the bbs once you start to see their orange bellies.

AL ,this is my second time, did it a few years ago. They are really easy once you have them condition, It
just take a water change that is cooler in temperature , doesn't have to be soft or rain water or anything like that, eggs are very hardy and can be handle outside the water for a few minutes, they are very sticky place in a container ,same water with a few drops of methylene blue, and in less than 48 hours. I was having fry , The key after that is too maintain clean water doing WC daily. I feed once they are free swimming just in case although they are using their yolk sac . feed them a very small pinch of golden pearl 50-100 micron with spirulina powdered and by the next day baby brine shrimp. If keeping the regimen of twice a day bbs and clean water , you have a good survival rate, just a couple of sliders here and there. I just place the adults in my 110 display tank with my Discus and everytime I do my 50% water change I find eggs in the glass the next morning there are only 5 three females and two males.
