Thanks everyone! Unfortunately, I lost the only productive male to female aggression. I have seen some interest in other females but males are in short supply. It's all good though because my place is too small to have much of a breeding program and I'm trying to work with some Tangerines and Red Covers at the moment. It did suck losing the male Turq from this group though. He was gorgeous!
Thanks! That's the female. I call her Black Widow because she killed her former mate. I really want to get some offspring from the SS pair, mainly because they may throw back some Turq's and the Turq's are amazing. I also may have to call Al and see if he has anything going from the original pair...
I have a SS pair that have teamed up but they are in a community tank. I'm trying to build up my Passions for now then I'll move the SS pair into their own tank. I'm pretty limited on space... I'm also getting some more fry from the original pair from Al in a few months so we'll see what happens after that. I like the Snakeskins but I really love the patterns on the Turq's.
Big fine fish, Brian. Give it a fin trim and it will look even more impressive.
Yeah, I noticed the fins also. I've neglected proper water changes and cleanings because the tank only has 4 fish in it and I've seen no issues at all. Until now...
If I give him a trim, I'll measure him at the same time. I think he's over 7".
