If my calculations are correct it has now been about 31 weeks since receiving my challenge fish, and it won't be too long before this challenge is all over.
With plenty of highs and a few disappointments along the way, l have finished with a couple of beautiful discus, learnt more about this fantastic hobby, and got to know some really nice people here along the way.
For me, it was never about winning, but more about being apart of a great idea, and greater community.
I am still maintaining 2 weekly 50% water changes, and feeding daily: live black worm, FBS, FBW, and a variety of pallets and flakes.
There is plenty of egg laying going on in the community tank too, with 2 pairs of other discus continuously laying sometimes simultaneously.
Its been great watching these challenge discus develop from young juveniles.
Ive attached some current photos, and also an old video clip to see the difference. See if you can pick out the juvenile discus with the forked bar?
