    Young Love

    Hello All

Well the last few weeks have been spent recovering from another bout of bell's again...I am truly special person it appears, lol. I am about the only person that can have it occur on both sides of my face at the same time (as well as it reoccuring in such a short time) Really truly special Anyways...I am on the way to recovery and have returned back to work. The fish are all doing fine and there is young love in the air. I noticed that I had two that were courting a couple of days ago and I decided to add a piece of slate to the tank...this afternoon they laid some eggs. I have a pair it appears. Here are some pics of them....

    First set...group shot
    Second set...discovering the slate
    Third...group of eggs

      Evelyn,

Sorry to hear of your health issues. I was a Bells Palsy victim as well a while back. I know how that feels. Please take care.

Congrats on the pair! That makes two of us now!

Stay well and job well done!

      Best wishes!

Congrats on the egg laying! Chad has the same thing happening with his fish so it wouldn't be surprising to hear more of the contestants reporting similar news. Good you put that slate in the tank for them to use. Maybe some will get fertilized.

Good to hear your health has improved and to see a new update from you. I think everyone on SD looks forward to updates on the contest fish even when nothing exciting happens.

P.S. Chad, you type just too dang fast!

                    Congratulations Evelyn
That is a very nice lookings pair of Albino's and a good batch of eggs for their first batch. Hope some make it but you will be needing more tanks !
I see you have some extra help in the tanks too, a couple pleco's to help clean. Just curious, what kind are they? They are small and can grow up with the rest of the goup.
Great job you are doing with these guys.
                    Take care,
                    Bill

well most of the eggs are white now....but i figured that would happen. h2o here is not great for breeding....i usually have to adjust with ro water. on the bright side, both male and female are doing a good job of fanning and taking care of the eggs
