Well I made it back alive from 2 weeks of the decadence and debauchery that is heavy metal music. (gettin to old for this)
Things look great with the contest fish. I did a real good cleaning of both the grow out tank and my 300 gallon display, taking most of an evening. I noticed a build up of some algae on the bottom of the grow out tank. I've never seen this particular algae before, very bright, lime green. Anyway I scraped it off and cleaned all the sides and wiped down the heater, cleaned the sponge, got everything spick and span.
Everything looks perfect. The auto water changes were flawless while I was away. Rochelle didn't feed them quite as much as I do when I'm home. I have a habit now of feeding a little bit practically every hour. I'm doing 75% water changes daily.
I have to say that everyone in this contest is doing such an awesome job.
It really is a pleasure raising these guy's and I think it really is going to come down to the wire!
