    5-2 Update

I know its been a while but heres an update. All the fish have been doing just fine but the tank with the sand and plants have been an on going issue. The amount I feed these fish just causes my nitrates to rise and that was great for growing bga. I decided to remove the fish and redo the tank. It is now a bare bottom tank again. Heres a few pictures now.

Did you try adding more plants before giving up? Stem plants such as Wisteria are nitrate sponges.

Yeah, I kinda did the same. I had some in pots that I just removed, so much easier.

              Great job Jim!

To me, having the plants, sand, and wood in the tank with the heavy feeding was just too much work, not to mention having them in a 125 gallon tank.
