Well another couple weeks have gone by and everything has remained pretty consistent with the contest discus since last update.
We lost power for 8 hours two days ago, the power company lost a transformer. The discus did fine and the tanks came back up to temp everything worked out.
A little longer I would have had to get the generator out to power all the tanks. We seldom lose power but that was a good lesson, another thing on my to do list to
get the generator housed and ready to go.
Update,.....the power was off for a couple hours again last night. All the fish are getting their endurance tests and have not shown any effects. As long as the tanks
don't get too cold the fish actually appear to enjoy the calm water with no filters running. Life's good, procrastination is maintaining it's typical hold but as soon as this
storm is over I better get busy with that generator.
All the water parameters, feeding and water changes have remained the same since the last update.
This time I was able to get a few pictures of the discus during the day without using a flash with the exception of the first pic.
First pic, with a flash. This is a 5 inch cutout that I made a while back to get an approximate growth comparison.
They are still growing although slow now.
I've noticed the patterns on these discus continue to develop more as they grow.
It appears they have more to go before they develop their final pattern and color.
This may be Whitey that I noticed in Week 1 and took a picture of him then.
He is the smallest but eats good and appears healthy and never gets picked on by the others.
Actually I think Whitey is a girl.
