Cool thank you! I was also curious, you crossed a blue SS with a BD, so you should have had (in theory) roughly 50% nine bar (turqs/cobalts) and 50% 14 bar (snakeskins/scorpions). Yet in your final eight, you chose to keep 7 nine bar fish and one 14 bar fish. I was cuirous if this was a conscience discision on your part (you liked the nine bar fish beter) or perhaps only a few of the 14 bar fish survived (they do tend to be weaker at a young age). Not that there is anything wrong at all with the fish you choose, they are gorgeous, just wondered if the 9 bar vs 14 bar played any part in your decision at the time you choose your final eight?

Your theory is correct we got 50/50 it was a very large spawn and we got some very nice fry out of the mix. I prefer the 9 bar over the 14 bar but that 14 bar was very nice and wanted to see him grow up. I still have some of the same spawn left in the fish-room but most of the 14 bars are gone because I think people prefer them. There are a few amazing snakeskin's left from the group that are showing great color and growing nicely that Im growing out for future sales........Josie

The crazy 8 are crazy beautiful. Much bigger than the videos let on. The jive thing about a Chicago breeder. No seconds or thirds. We have first choice!
