That snakeskin leads the pack. What a terrific fish. Of the other non-contestant fish how many others have similar coloration? In other words, what percentage of the batch had this unique snakeskin pattern?

Which Snakeskin are you refering to? The orange striated, the solid orange, or the ghost SS? Hard to say how many of the other non-contest fish developed the pattern as I sold most of them at an early age. I do actually have two of each of those in the contest (striated, solid, ghost, and 9 bar).

Well yesterday I made note of the fact I had pairs forming in two of my three contest batches. Today I had eggs in both of these batches (batch 1 and batch 3). here is the proof:

Birth date of these fish was 8/30 which makes them 10 1/2 months old. The brown SS is female, and I am 99% certain the PB SS is male (got a good look at the tubes).
