Barb Newell

Many of us newer folks know nothing about Barb Newell and since this hobbyist contest is dedicated to her it only seeming fitting to create a thread so the newer folks can get a sense of who Barb was. I am able to find some info mostly related to her passing. I did find this thread

Pat,

I only had the pleasure to have met Barb on a number of occasions during some our local fish auctions before my discus craze began.
Will never be forgotten and thanks Barb for keeping the memory alive amongst people who never knew her.

Thank you for this thread Pat. Barb was a very special person and a very important part of this community. When she passed away, she left a huge space in many hearts here.

Barb lived about 10 minutes from me. I got to know her well and she got me back into discus some 10 years ago. A real classy lady and is missed a lot around here in Burlington.

Thanks guys and reading through the posts of the people who krew and were touched by Barb helps to give folks like me a sense of the totally beautiful person Barb was. She is still missed.

TRUTH! The only ones I ever thought looked like true Ocean Greens. She was an amazing woman!

Although you may not have known her Barb, you can read through her previous posts on the forum and really get a feel for the type of person that she was. Always so helpful.
