    Black rams question

There’s someone here in Cincinnati selling a pair of black rams on Craigslist. The pics show crazy long dorsal ray filaments. I have not seen this in any of the many pics of BR’s here on SD. They look of ratty & damaged but it appears the pair is in a tank of their own. What are your thoughts? Thanks team SD!

Danny, those fins are really long but I can see it happening if they arent fighting any other rams.

heres one of black rams from a solo pair.

never had any as long as those though.

Thanks Al. Good to know. The seller is asking $50 for the pair. Is that a fair price?

Danny the price is fair for a pair..

        heres a reference...
I always offer them here on Simply several days before I post them for sale on AB. Right now I have 2 pairs available with more to come as they pair off. All my stock comes from CoralBandit who I'm afraid is now is no longer breeding fish. He worked for years refining this strain of blacks in order to make them totally black.

but and this is just my impression from the pic... They look "old " to me ..maybe the seller is turning over older breeders ?

Thank you Al. I appreciate the guidance! I remember reading somewhere here I think that the life expectancy is around 2 year’ish. I will probably pass then. Thanks mate

I thought the same thing. They look like an old pair. I was getting $65. for my pairs and I've seen then as high as $75.

I agree the look old. That was my price at the end $75 but I stopped beading PBR's. I sold mostly on FB.
