Being predominantly vegan, fry can survive in the main tank. Since this is a tropheus species tank only, I don't have to worry too much about predation. I have numerous fry, about 8-10 @ 1-1.5", that have been carried to term and released by mum in the main tank. Having plenty of nooks & cranny's for them to hide amongst helps.

I have a small screen, very basic iPhone that I use for my vids and pics. Looking at the pics on a PC at work tonight I see much easier how out of focus they are LOL
it looks like the phones image focus is just not keeping up. I don't know much about iphone photo apps but have a look at the phone settings even a basic Iphone should have some features you can modify for image capture. Often theres a subject lock that tracks the moving object.

your fish pics mightimprove if you trick the phone.. Our instinct with taking pics is to stand in front of the tank when we take pics.. but sometimes they will come out better if you stand back from the tank and take the pic.. then crop before you post to enlarge.

Thanks for the tips mate. I’ll have a fiddle about with the settings and see if there’s anything I can week to try and getting focused on my subject. I am guilty of standing right in front of the tropheus tank and tryna get pics with them flyin about all over the place

You’re very welcome Pat. Yes, tropheus eggs are huge which is why the clutches are small. I was very surprised my little female was carrying 12 eggs. 4 were not viable, either from infertility, or they got damaged in the stripping process. There is 11 free swimmer from 2 other females. These fry will increase my duboisi maswa colony from 11 to 29
