oh boy thats not good.. lantern flies are a plague.

That tree they are on in the pic is "tree of heaven" Allianthus. its usually the first place they get established.

Tom have you reported them?.. most states are taking location reports.

Al there everywhere! People are finding 50-100 a day in their pool skimmers! Those pics are from around the lake where the eagles are. They are landing on me regularly. I throw them in the water and the fish spit them out. They are on everything. We’ve past the notify the authorities. We need to start buying flamethrowers!!

This took no more than 5 years. Can only imagine what it will be like next year and in 10 years.

Imagine you have looked around but here is one reference for options other than pesticides. https://cityofbordentown.com/wp-cont...nfly-Spray.pdf
              Good luck and good hunting.

Hopefully within the next few years sterile LF will have been created and mass released in the areas of invasion.

Thankfully I have seen any around here in northern Ct.. As far as the so called "tree of heaven", more like the " tree from hell".
They are an invasive tree that springs up all over the place. As soon as I see one growing I cut it and apply a herbicide to the
cut to kill the roots otherwise the will keep coming up.

Yes that tree is what my parents call poison sumac. It’s invasive and grows mostly in unkept areas. Others may call it tree of heaven but I think it just looks similar. Just another weed.

911 done except one thing, it was a 78 targa with a 930 body that I decided to keep (bought it cheap decades ago from a german who could not sell in germany because it offended porsche fans). Given the reputation of the original single stage turbo's did not mind not having, and I was a young CPT and fairly poor at the time. Wife's lifelong dream so I bought it for her. Eventually the wife left but the porsche stayed. Anyway to make a long story longer they forgot to add a passenger mirror, which I did not notice till right before delivery. Should have shut up and taken it for the rest of the summer but didn't and my restorer is so compulsive he immediately starting securing stuff to add the mirror. So now I wait. You still going to meet me at Discus Madness one of these years?

Targa top is in the same camel, brown, whatever color as interior, fairly unique and not as hot as the standard black top.

Aftermarket Kuehl Condenser x 2 in wheel wells, upgraded evaporator, rest new but OEM, did not come stock so all aftermarket. Skipped the big condenser cooking, vibrating, and ultimately leaking on top of the engine. Works well so I am told. Kinda pissed off the guy who did the engine swap. Wonder if he is still in business. What a hoot, he had Porsche's all over surrounding his house, and he always pulled ACs out of 911s.

Yes many did. All thinking racing! Got to lose that weight!! I’ve got a leak in mine and nobody can find it. They all say it’s fixed and in 2 months it’s pushing heat!
