Chuck I didn't realize the Maryland was so progressive. Impressive! Probably the first state to institute mandatory Cat recycling, right?

Added a cat to the clan here.. Shes 5 yrs old..spent her life at the shelter. Her name is Croatia . I thought our orange Tabby Leo was a ball of energy and a climber.This kitty has him beat hands down ..




She hates being picked up but is a love bug lap cat on her terms. So far our 3 fuzzballs are getting along ok. My big lug Dante really could care less about her and was like that from day 1.. Leo, well its been an adjustment. He stalks her everywhere. No major brawls.. just growls and hisses. At day 3 here and it settled down alot.. I figure they will be playing as normal in a few days. She wants to play.. Leo not having it yet.

This is what happens when it does. Its easy for misunderstandings to occur... like here . The look of frustration because I miss translated feline ..

erroneously thinking the translation was

"I want pets on the bed."

Little stinker snuck out last night and spent a few hours on the porch. She is lucky.. it was snowing and I think that kept her on the porch. She is obsessed with with trying to get outside. This morning we had Bobcat tracks in the snow all over the yard. Since we had those bobcat kits in the yard this past summer we always find tracks now. Dont know if its one of kits grown up or Momma bobcat but either would look at the kitty as a midnight snack.

That's scary Al, one of my barn cats Musha sneaks inside anytime she can. I open the door to shout OUT and out she goes. I can't have cats inside as Tom is really allergic to cats.

So its been a month now since we got Cinder, our black cat. He has turned out to be a never ending source of warm happiness and utter devilry. He is betwern 1 and 2 years old and goes from "I am a warm fuzzy loveball " 9 to "I'm really a black panther out to kill something" He loves hard and plays rough...resets quick and starts over. I kind of feel bad for my older two cats.. they are having a hard time dealing with panther persona. But its karma..our orange cat Leo was the same towards my previous black cat Dante when Leo was a kitten.Its gone full circle. Heres a few pics of the boys during the warm fuzzy times..

CInder has gone from stray to house cat pretty well so far.. Its funny how it seems he has always been here.We are still learning about each other but its hard not to fall for the little fuzz ball when he constantly wants to be hugged and climbs on your shoulder then mushes like a baby.

Cinder sounds like a fun cat but teenage cat Al. Also sounds like he is keeping you busy along with the rest of your fur balls. I still miss Blaze. I would carry him from the house to the barn and he would turn on that purr machine and totally relax in my arms.

G1ot to love when your fuzz kids get you up at 3 am then sleep all morning while you are trying to recall the nice dream they woke you up from!






Particularly this one here... Cinder is the ring leader of the morning brigade.

Testing the waters to see if he can walk on the taboo table while I have breakfast. Cinder being a former stray has a problem with any rules that restrict the aquisition of prey items like my meals. Its a challenge with a headstrong feline.
